ForestInfo is a group of government and industry representatives working together to share resources and information about forest management. Members of our team are working in the field, in the lab, and at our desks to research and implement the best available practices to ensure long-term sustainability of our shared forest resources.
Natural Resources Canada’s Canadian Forest Service (CFS) provides science and policy expertise and advice on national forest sector issues. Its core mandate is to conduct scientific research on Canada’s forests, which can be used to inform forest management planning and policy decisions and to assist the forest industry, the public, and other scientists.
CFS scientists share their expertise and knowledge with ForestInfo, and engage stakeholders on the science behind forest management with the objective of providing science-based information to decision makers and stakeholders.
